Presentations

Sit down for a session with the hosts of Community Pulse - the premiere DevRel podcast! We'll take questions from the audience and work on issues relevant to DevRel practitioners! The entire session will be broadcast live and featured as a permanent episode in the Community Pulse library.

You never know what tomorrow may bring your way. As the Boy Scouts say always be prepared! After 10+ years of working with developer communities, Ive learned you can always turn a crisis into an opportunity. Whether its an unhappy community member, a failed plan, or an unexpected announcement from a competitor, with a bit of patience and hard work, you can not only survive, but thrive.

In this talk Ill share how Ive run into these crises at various companies and how you can turn these challenges into opportunities by being transparent, listening to your community, and cultivating flexibility in your teams.

How do you know the work youre doing is having an impact on the business? In this workshop, youll learn how to hone in on the business goals that your DevRel team can further, as well as how to track your success as you work toward accomplishing those goals.

Warning: This talk may be controversial. Most folks know at this point that DevRel professionals need to be empathetic, at minimum tech-savvy (preferably have developer experience), and be good communicators. But what if I were to tell you there are other qualities that are equally, if not more important, than these? In this talk, we'll evaluate the current “must-have” DevRel skillset and also look into the oft-missed talents that set certain DevRel professionals apart.
